Description
The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight is a classic American bolt-action rifle chambered in 300 Win Mag, built around Winchester’s renowned Pre-’64 style controlled round feed action. The Featherweight pairs a 24″ free-floating steel barrel with a brushed polish blued finish and a satin walnut stock finished with the signature Feather cut checkering and a Schnabel fore-end for an unmistakably traditional sporting presentation.
The steel receiver is mated to a jeweled bolt body with knurled bolt handle. A 3-position safety sits at the rear of the action, and the M.O.A. Trigger System manages the trigger pull. An internal magazine provides a 3+1 capacity, and a recessed target crown protects the muzzle. The rifle measures 44.75″ overall and weighs 7.40 lbs, balancing lightweight carrying with the handling qualities expected of a full-size hunting rifle. This rifle ships without sights, allowing the shooter to mount their preferred optic.
This is a right-hand configuration intended for hunting and target applications. The Model 70 Featherweight delivers the timeless look, controlled feed reliability, and easy-carrying characteristics that have made the Model 70 a benchmark American sporting rifle.
