The Timney 49ER Safety Selector is a drop-in Ambidextrous safety built for the AR-15 and AR-10 platform. It is precision machined from heat-treated steel, supplied with a replacement spring and a carbo-nitride coated safety plunger, and installs in any standard Mil-Spec lower receiver. The result is ultra-smooth, repeatable manipulation with positive, ergonomic engagement for both right- and left-handed shooters.
What sets the 49ER apart from a factory safety is its adjustable dual-throw geometry. The selector ships set up to run in the traditional 90-degree position, but it can be flipped into a shortened 49-degree short throw for lightning-fast safety manipulation.
