Description
The Streamlight WayPoint is a pistol-grip handheld spotlight built for long-throw illumination. Model 44900 is the yellow polycarbonate-body version and runs on readily available C alkaline batteries or 12V DC power.
A focused white LED produces 40 lumens on low and 550 lumens on high, throwing a tight beam out to 625 meters. Run time is rated at roughly 10 hours on high and stretches considerably longer on the lower setting, making the WayPoint a practical search, patrol, marine, jobsite and emergency light.
The body is molded from yellow polycarbonate for light weight and durability, with an impact- and water-resistant construction. A trigger-style switch integrated into the pistol grip gives intuitive one-hand control, while the deep 7.14″ head and 3.5″ body diameter house the reflector and battery compartment. Overall length is 6.75″ and the light weighs about 1.80 lbs.
This is a standalone utility spotlight, not a weapon-mounted light, and is non-rechargeable. It is a useful addition to a vehicle, boat, shop, farm, or emergency kit where a far-reaching, hand-held beam is needed.
