The Spyderco Byrd Meadowlark 2 Lightweight is a compact everyday carry folding knife built around a 2.87″ drop point blade in 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a part serrated edge that combines clean slicing with the bite needed to break through tougher materials. The full-flat-ground blade profile delivers low-friction cutting geometry and easy resharpening, finished in a non-reflective black coating for discreet pocket carry.
Carried under the Spyderco Byrd value line, the Meadowlark 2 Lightweight uses a black textured fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle with Bi-Directional texturing that holds securely in wet or dry conditions. Deployment is handled by the thumb slot opener, with a reliable locking mechanism that holds the blade securely in the open position. The handle is fitted with a 2-position pocket clip that supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side of the body.
At just 2.40 oz with an overall length of 6.81″ and a closed length of 4.03″, the Meadowlark 2 Lightweight is sized to disappear in a pocket while still offering a full usable edge for daily cutting tasks, opening packages, breaking down cardboard, and general utility work around the house, office, or outdoors.
