Description
The Smith & Wesson Performance Center SW1911 is a premium single-action .45 ACP pistol built around a throated 4.25″ barrel with a precision crowned muzzle. This Performance Center variant pairs a lightweight Scandium alloy frame in a black finish with a matte stainless steel, ported, and serrated slide, giving shooters the classic 1911 ergonomics with reduced felt recoil and muzzle rise.
Chambered in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity, the SW1911 wears G10 custom wood grip panels and uses a traditional post front / fixed rear contrast sight picture. An ambidextrous thumb safety and a Performance Center tuned action make the pistol equally friendly to right- and left-handed shooters and a pleasure to run at the range.
Weighing in at 29.6 oz, the Scandium frame keeps carry weight down without giving up the rigidity expected of a Performance Center 1911. The pistol ships in a hard case and is set up for personal protection and sport shooting.
