Description
The Sellier & Bellot SB6557RA is a 6.5x57mm hunting load built around a 131 gr Soft Point bullet. Loaded in brass cases and clocking 2543 fps at the muzzle with 1880 ft lbs of energy, this classic European Mauser-chambered round is tailored for medium-game hunting where controlled expansion and reliable weight retention matter.
The Semi-Jacketed Soft Point projectile pairs a soft lead core with a precisely engineered jacket that locks the nose in place, driving deep, controlled expansion on impact. Loaded in reloadable brass, the SB6557RA is purpose-built for the European hunting tradition and fits classic Mauser-platform rifles chambered in 6.5x57mm, delivering the flat trajectory, mild recoil, and consistent terminal performance this old-world cartridge is known for.
