Description
The Rio Ammunition Game Load is a traditional 20 Gauge shotshell built for upland bird hunting, small game, and a long afternoon at the clay range. Part of Rio’s Heavy Field series and cataloged as RC208, this round is geared toward the shotgunner who wants a reliable workhorse shell without paying premium-tier prices.
Each 2.75″ shell is built on Rio’s standard 16mm brass length hull so it feeds smoothly through pump-action, semi-auto, and over/under 20 gauges. Inside the hull is a 1 oz payload of lead shot sized 8 – a classic combination for doves, quail, grouse, and clay targets – pushed out the muzzle at a steady 1250 fps. Patterns are consistent and recoil is mild, which makes this an easy load to shoot across long hunts or extended practice sessions.
Your purchase options:
- Box – 25 Rounds: A single factory box of 25 shells, perfect for a morning in the field or a quick range session.
- Case – 250 Rounds (10 Boxes): Ten factory boxes (250 shells total) for shooters stocking up for a full season of hunting or a season’s worth of practice.
