Description
The Remington Slugger High Velocity in 12 Gauge is a purpose-built shotgun slug load designed for deer hunters. Each 2.75″ shell is loaded with a 7/8 oz Foster-style rifled lead slug that exits the muzzle at 1800 fps, delivering the flat trajectory and hard-hitting energy that have made this load Remington’s most popular slug.
Marketed as a high-velocity option, the Slugger is roughly 13% faster than standard 1 oz. slug loads, producing a flatter trajectory and about 200 ft lbs more energy at 50 yards. The Foster-style rifled slug generates an advertised muzzle energy of 2751 ft lbs right out of the barrel, giving deer hunters a hard-hitting, accurate load built for the field.
