Description
The Remington Express XLR (Extra Long Range) shotshells are purpose-built for upland hunters who want dependable patterns and a hard-hitting lead payload at extended distances. This 28 Gauge load drives a measured 3/4 oz charge of 6 lead shot at a brisk 1295 fps muzzle velocity, making it a versatile shell for upland birds such as pheasant, quail, and grouse where a smaller gauge and lighter recoil are preferred.
Housed in a 2.75″ hull, the Express XLR 28 Gauge features Remington’s proven lead shot column and the XLR powder charge engineered for consistent velocity and tight, even patterns. Whether you are walking a fall field behind a pointer or pushing through thick cover for late-season roosters, this load balances payload weight and pattern density in a classic upland configuration. Remington Ammunition loads these shells as part of the Express XLR line, a longstanding favorite among bird hunters looking for extra reach from a 28 gauge shell.
