The RCBS 20904 Roll Crimp 3-Die Set is a precision reloading die set purpose-built for handloaders working with the .45-70 Government straight-walled rifle cartridge. Part of RCBS Group C, this three-die set walks a fired case through resizing, decapping, expanding, bullet seating, and a finished roll crimp in one integrated kit.
The set includes a Full-Length Sizer Die with an integrated decapping unit that resizes fired cases and ejects spent primers in a single pass (case lubrication is required), an Expander Die that bells the case mouth to accept bullets smoothly, and a Roll Crimp Seater Die that seats the bullet and then rolls the case mouth inward to lock it in place with a firm, uniform crimp.
The roll-crimp configuration is well suited to .45-70 Government straight-wall cases, where a tight, consistent grip at the case mouth is essential for proper bullet seating and reliable feeding.
