Description
The Primos Early Bird box call is a hand-operated turkey call built around a double-sided design that lets hunters switch between two hardwood surfaces to produce realistic turkey hen vocalizations in the field.
This call pairs a Purple Heart paddle with a walnut box, combining two sonorous hardwoods prized in traditional box-call construction. The double-sided lid lets the hunter move between the bright, cutting tones that Purple Heart delivers and the warmer, softer tones of walnut, working the paddle with a simple hinge motion to produce authentic hen yelps, clucks, cuts, and purrs from a single tool. The natural wood finish highlights the deep, contrasting grain of each species.
A water-resistant construction helps the call keep its tone in damp morning conditions, and the simple hinged-box design is easy to operate one-handed so the hunter can keep a free hand on the gun or bow. Compact enough to slip into a vest or jacket pocket, the Early Bird is a classic, no-fuss box call purpose-built for spring gobbler hunts.
