Description
PPU Metric Rifle ammunition in 6.5×55 Swedish brings modern Serbian-loading precision to one of Europe’s most respected military and sporting cartridges. Loaded with a 139 gr Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail bullet, this round is built primarily for target shooting, range practice, and high-volume training where consistent accuracy and reliable feeding matter more than terminal expansion.
The 6.5×55 Swedish traces its lineage to the late-19th century Swedish Mauser service rifles and has long been prized for its flat trajectory, mild recoil, and inherent accuracy. PPU’s Metric Rifle load pushes the 139 gr projectile at 2540 fps for 1991 ft lbs of muzzle energy, making it well suited to historic Swedish Mauser actions as well as modern bolt-action rifles chambered for 6.5×55 used for paper punching, plinking, and general range work.
The boat-tail, full metal jacket profile is designed for steady in-flight ballistics with reduced drag at distance. Every cartridge is loaded in brass cases, providing reliable extraction, consistent ignition, and a quality option for reloaders who want to reclaim their spent brass for future handloading sessions.
