Description
The Mec-Gar MGP22818AFC is a high-capacity 9mm Luger pistol magazine purpose-built for the SIG Sauer P228. This 18-round magazine uses a blued carbon steel tube finished with Mec-Gar’s signature anti-friction coating, a surface treatment designed to reduce drag during thumb-loading and help minimize feed-related malfunctions at the range or in duty carry.
Inside the tube, a high-impact polymer follower rides against a heat-treated carbon steel body and a quality spring, delivering consistent, reliable feeding. The blued finish gives the magazine a classic, low-glare appearance, while the anti-friction coating on the exterior noticeably smooths round-by-round loading. With an 18-round capacity, the MGP22818AFC provides extended firepower for range training, duty backup, or simply keeping extra rounds on hand.
Engineered as a direct factory-replacement magazine for the SIG Sauer P228, the MGP22818AFC is designed to fit and function in P228-pattern pistols. The listing is for a single magazine.
