The Magnum Research BFR is billed by its maker as the most powerful production single-action handgun made. This Long Cylinder configuration is chambered in the hard-hitting 500 S&W Magnum and built on a heavy-duty all-stainless large frame designed to absorb punishing recoil.
A precision-grade 10″ barrel, matching cylinder, and frame all carry a uniform brushed stainless steel finish that shrugs off weather and abuse in the field. The revolver holds 5 rounds in its long cylinder, runs a traditional exposed hammer with a crisp single-action trigger, and wears a black rubber grip that keeps the gun planted in hand when the big mag goes off. Overall length is 17.50″ with a heft of 75.20 oz, serious weight that helps tame the cartridge.
Sighting is handled by a fixed front blade and an adjustable rear, and the BFR ships ready to mount glass with an included Weaver scope mount. Purpose-built for personal protection and sport use, this is a hunting revolver, brush-country backup, and specialty big-bore shooter all in one.
