Description
The Huxwrx QD 556 Flash Hider is a precision quick-detach muzzle device engineered for 5.56x45mm NATO AR-platform rifles. Finished in a low-glare Black coating, it reduces muzzle flash to preserve the shooter’s night vision while serving as a secure mounting interface for Huxwrx’s HX-QD 556k suppressor.
The QD 556 installs on any standard AR-15 barrel with a 1/2×28 thread pattern. At just 2.30″ OAL with a 1.20″ diameter, it adds minimal length and weight to the host rifle while delivering a repeatable lockup with compatible quick-detach suppressors. Run it as a standalone flash hider or pair it with the HX-QD 556k for a seamless transition to suppressed fire.
Backed by Huxwrx’s reputation for precision suppressor engineering, the QD 556 is a clean, compact upgrade for any 5.56 AR build. Huxwrx part number 1677.
