Description
The Howa ATIK5R65CR Detachable Mag Drop-In Kit converts a standard Howa 1500 bolt-action rifle from its hinged floorplate internal magazine to a true 5-round detachable box magazine setup chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Produced by Adaptive Technologies Inc for Howa, this drop-in kit allows the conversion to be made at home in minutes – no gunsmith required.
At the heart of the kit is a tough black polymer magazine assembly rated for 5 rounds of 6.5 Creedmoor. The package includes the magazine, a replacement floorplate assembly, all required installation hardware, and instructions, making the swap straightforward and fully reversible. Once installed, your Howa 1500 accepts the same Ammo Boost Advantage detachable-magazine pattern, giving you faster reloads and simpler round loading compared to feeding through a hinged internal box.
Built specifically for the Howa 1500 action, this kit is a clean factory-style upgrade for hunting rifles, range builds, or chassis-stocked rifles where quick magazine changes are preferred over the stock floorplate. Whether you run a sporter, heavy-barrel, or chassis rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor, this 5-round drop-in magazine kit adds convenience without altering the rifle’s core function.
Your purchase includes:
- 5-round black polymer detachable magazine for 6.5 Creedmoor
- Replacement magazine floorplate assembly
- Installation hardware and instructions
