Description
The Hornady Superformance line is engineered to deliver a true 100 to 200 fps velocity increase over conventional ammunition without generating additional chamber pressure, recoil, muzzle blast, temperature sensitivity, or fouling. The result is a flatter trajectory, reduced wind drift, and harder-hitting terminal performance on game, all while remaining safe for use in semi-automatic, lever-action, and pump-action rifles.
This .308 Winchester load drives a 150 grain Super Shock Tip (SST) projectile downrange at a 3000 fps muzzle velocity, generating 2997 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The SST pairs a polymer tip with a streamlined secant ogive profile, initiating rapid expansion on impact while retaining mass for deep penetration on medium to large game such as whitetail deer, mule deer, pronghorn, black bear, and elk.
Every round is loaded in a brass case for consistent ignition, smooth feeding, and reliable extraction across the hunting season. Whether you are stretching the range across open country or putting meat in the freezer at conventional hunting distances, this Superformance SST load brings factory-tuned accuracy and dramatic terminal performance to your .308 Win rifle.
