Description
The Hornady SST (Super Shock Tip) is a polymer-tipped, boattail hunting bullet engineered for devastating shock and controlled expansion on impact. This 6.5mm (.264″) bullet is built for rifle handloaders seeking flat-shooting performance on medium game from whitetail and antelope up to moose.
At 123 grains, each bullet pairs a copper jacket with a lead core and Hornady’s signature polymer tip that initiates reliable expansion and improves the ballistic profile. The boat-tail design and a G1 ballistic coefficient of .510 deliver a flat trajectory and retained downrange energy, while a sectional density of .252 drives deep penetration. A cannelure locks the bullet in place during resizing and seating.
Designed to expand quickly and reliably at the higher velocities common in bottlenecked 6.5mm cartridges, the SST is a versatile choice for hunting applications across North American game. This listing is for 100 bullets per box, with 25 boxes per case (2,500 bullets per case).
