Description
The Hornady Custom Lite line is engineered for shooters who want effective .308 Winchester terminal performance without the punishing recoil of full-power hunting loads. Each round is loaded with Hornady’s polymer-tipped 125 grain Super Shock Tip (SST) projectile seated in a reloadable brass case.
Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 2675 fps and producing 1986 ft lbs of energy, the SST delivers the flat trajectory, consistent expansion, and accuracy Hornady is known for, while the lighter 125 grain bullet knocks felt recoil down significantly compared to standard .308 Win hunting ammunition. That balance is the whole point of the Custom Lite platform: practical hunting ballistics in a rifle that’s easier on the shoulder over long days afield and during extended range sessions.
Versatile and well-suited to hunting trips and general target shooting, these loads are a smart option for recoil-sensitive shooters or anyone simply looking to put more rounds downrange per session. Reloadable brass casings add long-term value for handloaders.
