Description
The Hornady American Whitetail 12 Gauge sabot slug is purpose-built for hunters pursuing whitetail deer and other medium to large North American game with a rifled-barrel shotgun. Loaded in a 2.75″ shotshell, each round features a 325-grain Hornady InterLock projectile seated in a sabot for a tight gas seal and full engagement with the barrel’s rifling. The result is a flat trajectory, deep penetration, and reliable expansion on impact at extended range.
This load drives the 325gr InterLock slug to a muzzle velocity of 1825 fps, putting it in line with Hornady’s reputation for accurate, hard-hitting hunting ammunition. The InterLock design uses a lead core mechanically locked to a copper jacket, preventing core/jacket separation and delivering controlled expansion with high weight retention – important traits when a single, well-placed shot matters. Engineered specifically for use in fully rifled shotgun barrels, the American Whitetail sabot slug gives slug hunters a versatile option from brush to open field out to 200+ yards.
Each box contains 5 rounds, and a full case holds 20 boxes (100 rounds) – an ideal stash for a season of deer hunting or extended practice with a rifled-slot slug barrel.
