Description
The Hornady A-Tip Match is a high-ballistic-coefficient match bullet engineered for serious precision rifle shooters. These .22 caliber / .224 diameter projectiles feature a precision-machined aluminum tip that is intentionally longer than typical polymer tips, shifting the center of gravity rearward for enhanced in-flight stability and a more consistent drag function across a wide velocity window.
Each 90 grain A-Tip Match bullet pairs a lead core with a copper jacket and a precision-machined aluminum tip for optimum aerodynamic performance. The result is a doppler-radar-verified ballistic coefficient of .585 and a sectional density of .256, giving long-range handloaders a forgiving, high-BC projectile for competition and extended-distance shooting.
Hornady designs the A-Tip line to be forgiving of twist rate, seating depth, and muzzle velocity, so handloaders can dial in their loads without giving up downrange performance. The recommended 1:7″ twist rate stabilizes these 90 grain bullets in modern .22 caliber centerfire precision-rifle platforms.
This 100-count box is current production from Hornady, packed 10 boxes per case for high-volume reloaders. Whether you are building a match load for competition or chasing tight groups at extended distance, the A-Tip Match .224 90gr bullet delivers the consistent drag function and advanced tip geometry that competitive shooters demand.
