Description
The Fiocchi Cowboy Action line is built specifically for Cowboy Action Shooting competitors who want reduced-recoil, period-correct ballistics backed by modern quality control. Loaded in .38 S&W Short, this cartridge suits revolvers chambered for the historic Smith & Wesson short case – a classic sidearm still commonly seen in SASS-style matches and casual plinking alike.
Each round features a 145 gr Lead Round Nose bullet producing a soft, easy-shooting 720 fps muzzle velocity and 167 ft lbs of muzzle energy. The lighter recoil helps keep sights on target through long strings of fire. The bullet is an unjacketed lead round nose with a protective coating that effectively reduces the rate of bore fouling compared to traditional bare lead loads – an important consideration for single-action revolvers and extended range sessions where reliability and manageable recoil matter most.
Loaded in brass cases, this ammunition is offered in boxes of 50 rounds, with 20 boxes per case (1000 rounds total). Whether you are running qualification stages, hosting a Wild West side match, or simply enjoying a relaxed afternoon at the range, this Fiocchi Cowboy Action .38 S&W Short load delivers the consistent performance and reliable ignition that have made Fiocchi a trusted name among competitive shooters.
