Description
The Federal Upland Steel shotshell is part of Federal’s Field & Range family of affordable, hard-working hunting loads. Loaded in a 28 Gauge 2.75″ hull, this round pushes 5/8 oz of 7.5 steel shot at a muzzle velocity of 1350 fps, producing the pattern density upland hunters want for doves, quail, grouse, and similar birds flushing over a pointing dog or pushing out of the cover.
Steel shot construction makes this a smart pick for hunters working areas where non-toxic shot is required, and the relatively light 5/8 oz payload keeps recoil soft for long days afield behind an over/under or a light 28 Gauge semi-auto. The 2.75″ shell length fits any standard 28 Gauge chamber, and the 7.5 shot size is well-matched to small upland game where a dense pattern and adequate energy on target are the priority. Whether you are filling a vest for an afternoon walk or stocking the truck for a season of roosters and woodcock, the Federal Upland Steel delivers consistent, field-ready performance at a practical price.
