Description
The Federal Premium Gold Medal line is Federal’s flagship 224 Valkyrie match load, engineered to deliver flat trajectories, minimal wind drift, and the tightest possible groups at long range. Each round is built around an 80.5-grain Berger Open Tip Match (OTM) bullet, an advanced boat-tail design with a high ballistic coefficient that holds velocity and energy well downrange.
Loaded in premium brass cases, this load drives the 80.5-grain projectile at a muzzle velocity of 2,925 fps for a muzzle energy of 1,529 ft-lbs, making it a serious choice for target shooting and competitive applications where consistent accuracy is non-negotiable. Federal’s Gold Medal Berger ammunition is purpose-built for precision rifle competitors and long-range enthusiasts who want to extract maximum performance from their 224 Valkyrie platforms.
