Description
Federal Premium loads the heavy-recoiling 460 S&W Mag with a bonded 300-grain Swift A-Frame hunting bullet for serious handgun work. Part of the Vital-Shok line and built around a nickel-plated brass case, this P460SA ammunition is engineered for deep penetration and controlled expansion on the largest North American game and dangerous-game species worldwide.
The Swift A-Frame’s bonded lead core is seated in a precision-designed jacket that holds together through heavy hide, dense muscle, and bone, retaining weight and driving a deep wound channel. Federal pushes the 300-grain projectile to a 1750 fps muzzle velocity, generating an impressive 2040 ft-lbs of muzzle energy at the muzzle – serious downrange authority from a production hunting handgun cartridge.
Nickel-plated brass cases feed smoothly and resist corrosion in wet, humid, or marine environments, making this load a reliable choice for hunting trips in any condition. Each round is loaded to Federal Premium’s strict quality standards for consistent pressure, accuracy, and reliability from box to box.
