Description
The Colt 1911 Government in 38 Super is a single-action semi-auto pistol built on Colt’s classic full-size Government Model platform. This O1911C38 configuration wears a traditional blued finish on both the slide and frame, paired with a 5″ National Match barrel for enhanced accuracy potential. The serrated steel slide rides on a serrated steel frame fitted with an extended beavertail that promotes a high, secure grip.
Targeted features include 3-dot white iron sights for quick, intuitive aiming, an ambidextrous grip and thumb safety for confident handling, and Black Cherry checkered G10 grip panels that provide a tactile, positive hold. The pistol feeds from a single-stack magazine for a total 9+1 capacity, staying true to the slim, classic 1911 profile that has defined the platform for over a century.
Manufactured by Colt in the USA, the O1911C38 blends the timeless 1911 Government Model ergonomics with the flat-shooting, low-recoil performance of the 38 Super cartridge. It is an ideal choice for range shooting, competition, and collectors who want a current-production Colt Government in a distinctive, hard-hitting caliber.
