Description
The Case Astronaut M-1 Commemorative is a heavy-duty fixed machete from Case, released as a serialized commemorative tribute reviving the iconic M-1 blade style associated with NASA astronaut survival kits and the Apollo-era space program. It pairs the proven M-1 outline with modern Case fit and finish for collectors and outdoor users alike.
The blade measures 11.75 inches and is forged from high carbon steel finished with an as-ground look, combining a clean plain cutting edge with an aggressive saw spine for versatile field cutting and light sawing work. A stainless steel frame carries the smooth white synthetic handle scales for a secure, low-maintenance grip.
The M-1 Commemorative comes in at 17 inches overall and 7.50 oz, making it a full-size machete that still packs easily into a pack or vehicle. Each piece is individually serialized as part of the commemorative run, giving it crossover appeal as both a serious outdoor cutting tool and a collectible tribute to space-exploration history.
