Description
The Barnes VOR-TX load in 300 WSM is built around the company’s signature all-copper Tipped TSX Boat Tail projectile, delivering controlled expansion, deep penetration, and high weight retention that Barnes promotes as hallmarks of the VOR-TX hunting line.
Loaded with a 165 gr TTSX BT bullet, this hunting rifle ammunition leaves the muzzle at 3130 fps and produces 3590 ft lbs of energy. According to the manufacturer’s published ballistics, these all-copper bullets provide destructive power, double-diameter expansion, maximum weight retention, and devastating energy transfer. The tipped design adds a polymer tip for reliable expansion at a range of velocities, the solid copper body resists fragmentation, and the boat tail profile supports efficient feeding and retained velocity downrange.
VOR-TX ammunition is loaded with brass cases for consistent ignition and accuracy in firearms chambered in 300 Winchester Short Magnum.
