Description
The Barnes Bullets VOR-TX in 338 Win Mag is a precision-loaded hunting round built around the 225 gr Tipped TSX Boat Tail bullet, engineered to deliver double-diameter expansion, deep penetration, and high weight retention on medium to large North American game. The Tipped TSX (TTSX) projectile combines a polymer tip with Barnes’ signature all-copper, lead-free TSX construction and a streamlined boat-tail profile for improved ballistic coefficient and downrange accuracy.
Loaded in brass cases and stoked for serious performance, this load leaves the muzzle at 2800 fps and produces 3918 ft lbs of energy, putting it squarely in elk, moose, black bear, and plains-game territory. The Boat Tail design helps the 225 grain bullet retain velocity and resist wind drift at extended hunting ranges, while the TTSX tip initiates reliable expansion across a broad velocity window.
Whether you are filling the magazine of a hunting rifle for an upcoming season or stocking the safe with a proven big-game load, Barnes VOR-TX delivers factory-loaded consistency and the terminal performance Barnes is known for.
