Description
The Barnes Precision Match is a match-grade 6.5 Grendel load built for serious precision rifle competitors and long-range target shooters. Designed around a 120 gr Open Tip Match Boat Tail projectile seated in reloadable brass cases, this round delivers a 2590 fps muzzle velocity and 1788 ft lbs of muzzle energy, with the tight tolerances and lot-to-lot consistency Barnes builds into its match-grade ammunition.
The Open Tip Match Boat Tail bullet profile is shaped for low drag and retained velocity downrange, so it holds its point of impact at extended distances. Temperature-stable components keep performance predictable across long strings of fire, making this an excellent practice and match load for AR-15-pattern rifles chambered in 6.5 Grendel and well suited to paper, steel, and competitive precision matches.
