The kit is designed to reduce the double-action trigger pull weight of your J-Frame by approximately 3 lbs, taking the typical 12+ lb factory pull down to a noticeably lighter and smoother ~9 lb pull while preserving reliable ignition with both standard and self-defense ammunition.
The Duty/Carry Spring Kit contains four precision components: a reduced-power mainspring, an Apex XP firing pin, a firing pin return spring, and a rebound slide spring. Together these parts smooth the trigger stroke and shorten reset without compromising the safety margins of the factory action. All components are constructed from metal with a stainless/green finish for long service life.
Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with a J-Frame revolver and uses basic gunsmithing tools.
