Description
The Streamlight TL-Racker is an all-in-one integrated shotgun forend light designed to replace the factory forend on a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun. The orange nylon housing wraps the full-length forend and tucks the lighting hardware inside, eliminating the snag hazards of separate rail-mounted lights while putting a serious illumination tool exactly where the support hand lives. The molded nylon body is impact-resistant and rated IPX7 waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes, so it shrugs off rain, sleet, and brief dunkings in the field.
A single high-output white LED drives 1,000 lumens through a customized optic, producing a concentrated beam that reaches out 283 meters with 20,000 candela of peak intensity. Runtime is rated at 1.5 hours of continuous use on a fresh set of batteries. Two CR123A lithium cells power the unit, accessed through the integrated battery compartment without removing the forend from the shotgun. The elongated pressure-pad switch runs along the left side of the forend and is sized to accommodate virtually any hand size, with both momentary and constant-on operation and an ambidextrous feel that works for right- and left-handed shooters.
At 8.00 inches overall length and 12.10 ounces, the TL-Racker drops in as a direct replacement for the factory Remington 870 forend using the standard action-tube retention system, so installation requires no permanent modification to the host shotgun. It is intended for standard Remington 870 12-gauge pump-action shotguns and is ideal for home defense, duty, patrol car trunks, and tactical shotgun applications where reliable white-light identification and target illumination are critical. The bright orange body color makes the forend easy to spot in low light and on the workbench.
