Description
Federal BallistiClean Reduced Hazard Training (RHT) ammunition is purpose-built for 40 S&W shooters who need to train where airborne lead, ricochet, and barrel fouling are real concerns. This lead-free frangible load uses a non-toxic projectile engineered to disintegrate on impact with hard surfaces, virtually eliminating splash-back and lead exposure during extended range sessions.
Each round fires a 125 gr frangible bullet at a published 1300 fps muzzle velocity (approximately 469 ft lbs of energy) from a brass case loaded with a clean-burning, toxic-metal-free primer. The result is consistent, low-residue performance that keeps firearms running cleaner between strings, making it a go-to choice for indoor ranges, steel-target practice, and agencies operating under strict lead-emissions protocols.
Whether you are running a law enforcement qualification course, a defensive-pistol practice session, or simply want to reduce your household’s exposure to lead at the range, BallistiClean RHT delivers reliable 40 S&W performance with a meaningfully cleaner footprint than conventional FMJ training ammunition. The lead-free primer and frangible projectile allow use in well-ventilated indoor facilities and on ranges with hard-target backstops without the airborne-lead and ricochet hazards of standard ball.
