The Apex Tactical Specialties Action Enhancement Trigger & Duty/Carry Kit is a complete drop-in trigger upgrade engineered specifically for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield chambered in 9mm Luger or 40 S&W. This kit combines the Apex Duty/Carry Kit and the Action Enhancement Trigger for the M&P Shield into one package, giving concealed-carry and range shooters a single solution for a smoother, more consistent, and lighter trigger pull.
At the heart of the kit is a solid aluminum trigger body that directly replaces the factory hinged trigger, eliminating the flex inherent to the OEM design. Pre-travel and over-travel are each reduced by approximately 20%, while uptake and reset are noticeably smoother across the pull. When installed as the complete Duty/Carry configuration, the kit delivers a consistent 5.0 to 5.5 lb. trigger pull while maintaining factory safety values, so the pistol remains safe and ready for everyday carry.
Designed as a true drop-in upgrade, the kit installs without permanent modification to the host pistol. The black finish blends cleanly with the M&P Shield’s factory controls, and the precision-machined aluminum construction is built for long-term durability under repeated range and carry use.
