Description
The Remington Premier STS is Remington’s flagship 12 Gauge target shotshell, factory-loaded with 1 1/8 oz of lead 9 shot in a 2.75″ hull at 1145 fps. Designed specifically for competitive shotgunning, the STS (Sporting Target Shotshell) line is engineered for shot-to-shot consistency and reloadability – the long-standing benchmark for trap, skeet, and sporting clays shooters who demand repeatable patterns and manageable recoil round after round.
This specific load – Remington part number 20116 – pairs the standard 12-gauge 2.75-inch hull with a moderate 1 1/8 oz shot payload of 9 lead shot. The 9 shot at 1 1/8 oz is the classic light-recoil recipe for the 16-yard line and Handicap events, where reduced felt recoil helps competitive shooters maintain a smooth swing and consistent mount through long rounds. At 1145 fps, this load delivers the balanced velocity and pattern density that have made Premier STS the trusted choice of serious target shooters.
The Remington Premier STS target load is built on a reloadable hull, making it an excellent value for high-volume shooters who handload. Components are consistent from lot to lot, allowing reloaders to duplicate factory performance with confidence. Whether you shoot ATA trap, NSCA sporting clays, or just enjoy an afternoon at the skeet field, the STS provides the consistency your scorecard demands.
