Description
The Hornady Superformance Varmint line takes varmint-grade ammunition and pushes it into a higher performance class, increasing muzzle velocity by 100 to 200 fps from virtually every rifle without added chamber pressure, recoil, muzzle blast, temperature sensitivity, or fouling. This Superformance Varmint load is chambered in 22-250 Remington and uses the polymer-tipped, lead-free NTX (Non Traditional eXpanding) bullet at a 35 gr weight, making it a fast, accurate, and environmentally conscious choice for prairie dog towns, ground squirrels, coyotes, and other varmint work where flat trajectory and explosive terminal performance matter.
Loaded with premium brass cases, the 22-250 Rem Superformance Varmint drives the 35-grain NTX at a scorching 4450 fps muzzle velocity, producing 1539 ft lbs of muzzle energy for the trajectory and immediate expansion varmint hunters rely on. The lead-free NTX projectile is ideal for use in areas where non-toxic projectiles are required, while Hornady’s tight quality control delivers the consistency varmint and predator shooters expect from a premium factory load.
