Description
The Hornady Rapid Safe 4800KP XXL is a heavy-duty pistol safe engineered for fast, touch-free access to a concealed handgun. Built from 14-gauge steel with a durable black finish, this XX-Large safe measures 10.50″ L x 12″ W x 2.90″ D externally and provides an interior of 7.20″ L x 11″ W x 2.20″ D lined with protective foam. It is designed to hold one large handgun or up to two 1911-size pistols.
The 4800KP uses an electronic lock with three independent entry methods for dependable access in any situation: RFID activated by the included wristband, key fob, or decal; a backlit numeric access-code keypad; and a conventional key backup. Two internal hardened locking lugs resist prying and forced entry. The safe is AC-powered with a battery backup to keep it operational during a power outage.
Designed for concealment and rapid deployment, the Rapid Safe 4800KP XXL is a California-approved firearms safety device that meets the requirements of California Penal Code Section 12088. Whether used as a nightstand vault, vehicle safe, or quick-access home storage solution, it delivers the speed of RFID technology combined with the security of 14-gauge steel construction.
