The Hornady A-Tip Match is a precision .308 diameter, 250 grain match bullet purpose-built for long-range precision target shooting. Every projectile is built around a precision-machined aluminum tip that is noticeably longer than a conventional polymer tip, shifting the bullet’s center of gravity rearward to enhance in-flight stability downrange. The A-Tip Match carries a ballistic coefficient of .442 and a sectional density of .377, both Doppler-radar verified for the kind of low-drag, high-BC performance that serious long-range handloaders demand.
Hornady engineered the A-Tip Match to deliver the perfect blend of ogive, tip length, bearing surface, and a caliber-specific optimized boattail. The bullet is built on a copper jacket over a lead core, and every lot is manufactured in the USA to Hornady’s match-grade standards. Hornady’s recommended twist rate for the 30 Caliber (.308″) 250 grain A-Tip Match is 1:8.5″.
