The Daniel Defense DD5 V4 is a precision-oriented semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, purpose-built on the AR-10 platform for long-range performance and hard use. This California Compliant configuration ships with a 10-round detachable magazine for a 10+1 capacity, meeting state magazine restrictions while preserving the full feature set of the standard DD5 V4.
At the heart of the rifle is an 18″ hammer-forged barrel featuring a 1:11″ twist and a threaded muzzle, paired with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receiver finished in Black Hard Coat Anodized with black phosphate accents. The DD5 Rail handguard offers a full-length M-LOK compatible interface for accessories, and a continuous Picatinny rail runs across the top for optics and iron sights.
The controls are built for serious shooters: a Mil-Spec trigger, an ambidextrous safety selector, and a six-position collapsible stock finished with Daniel Defense’s SoftTouch overmolding for a secure, comfortable cheek weld. A black polymer pistol grip rounds out the furniture. The rifle weighs in at 8.60 lbs with an overall length of 35.38″ to 39″, making it a stable, balanced platform for precision shooting, hunting, and duty applications.
