Description
The Sierra GameKing line has long been a go-to choice for handloaders who want proven hunting accuracy straight out of a reloading press. This 1912 offering is a 7mm projectile weighing 140 grains and built around Sierra’s classic Hollow Point Boat Tail profile, the same basic shape trusted by generations of varmint and big-game hunters.
The bullet starts as a precision lead core swaged to exacting concentricity tolerances, then wrapped in a thin, uniform copper jacket drawn to Sierra’s tight concentricity standard. A hollow point at the nose initiates reliable expansion on impact, while the tapered boat-tail base trims drag and helps the bullet retain velocity and energy downrange. With no cannelure, handloaders have a clean, straight bullet body for consistent seating depth. At a published diameter of .284, the 1912 is intended for the 7mm family of cartridges chambered in .284-inch bore rifles used for medium-to-large North American game.
Sierra designs the GameKing series as a hunting bullet, balanced for the accuracy competitive shooters expect and the terminal performance hunters need. Each box contains 100 projectiles, making it easy to put together a full batch of practice loads, work up a pet handload, or build a serious hunting batch for the season.
