Description
The Hornady A-MAX is a high-ballistic-coefficient match projectile designed for competitive rifle shooters and handloaders. This .308 diameter, 168 grain bullet pairs a precision-swaged lead core with Hornady’s signature AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) copper jacket and a streamlined polymer tip.
The A-MAX’s ogive profile and concentric AMP jacket deliver a G1 ballistic coefficient of .475 and a sectional density of .253, producing flat trajectories and excellent downrange energy retention. Hornady recommends a minimum 1:12″ twist for stabilizing this bullet. It is built cannelure-free for uniform seating depth and concentricity, giving handloaders a clean, consistent platform for precision load development.
Designed for target and match applications, this 30-caliber A-MAX bullet is well-suited for precision handloading. Each box contains 100 projectiles, with 15 boxes per case.
