Description
The Haydels Boss Hawg is a hand-operated hog call built to pull in wary feral hogs and dominant boars. Housed in a tough black plastic body with an internal reed, the BH92 produces two distinctly aggressive sounds on demand: low, guttural hog grunts and the frantic distress squeals of large boars fighting.
That dual-voice capability is what separates the Boss Hawg from a basic grunt tube. By manipulating air pressure and call position, the hunter can shift between territorial boar grunts and the squealing combat vocalizations of two big pigs locked up – audio that draws curious hogs in from a distance, breaks up a traveling sounder, or stalls a moving boar long enough for a setup or a shot.
The non-electronic design means no batteries, no switches, and no failure points in foul weather. Compact and lightweight, the Boss Hawg is shaped for one-handed operation so the off-hand stays free for a rifle, a stick, or a tripod rest. Use it from a stand over a clearing, while still-hunting a thicket, or on a stalk when a sounder is just out of range to locate, call in, or interrupt hogs on the move.
