Description
The Haydels PW90 is an avian-series open mouth call that imitates the Pileated Woodpecker, giving turkey hunters a powerful locator call that cuts through pressured timber where gobblers have gone silent to standard owl hooters.
Built by Haydel’s Game Calls from clear plastic, this hand-operated call needs no batteries – simply blow into the mouthpiece to produce the loud, sharp drumming of a Pileated Woodpecker working a hollow tree. The PW90 is engineered to be super loud and carry across long distances, sparking curiosity from wary toms and pulling them into range for a visual setup.
This woodpecker call shines as an alternative locator in heavily hunted ground where traditional owl calls are ignored, adding a realistic forest sound to break the silence of opening morning. Compact, lightweight, and easy to slip into a vest or fanny pack, the PW90 pairs naturally with any spring turkey setup.
