The Federal Fusion line of centerfire rifle ammunition was developed specifically for deer hunters, delivering the controlled expansion, deep penetration, and high weight retention that serious hunters expect from a modern big-game load. Loaded in the classic 45-70 Government cartridge, this round drives a 300 grain Fusion bonded soft point at a muzzle velocity of 1850 fps, producing 2280 ft lbs of muzzle energy on impact.
The Fusion bullet’s copper jacket is electrochemically fused to a lead core, virtually eliminating jacket-core separation. Combined with a precision skived tip and a pre-programmed expansion cavity, the bullet opens reliably on impact and drives a wide, deep wound channel through medium and large North American game, exactly what you want from a modern hunting-grade 45-70 load.
Loaded with brass cases and built to Federal Premium quality standards, this ammunition is intended as a hunting load. Each box contains 20 rounds; a full case holds 10 boxes (200 rounds).
