Description
The PPU PP223F2 Standard Rifle round is loaded in .223 Remington by PPU (Prvi Partizan), a long-established manufacturer of brass-cased centerfire ammunition. This load uses a 62 grain Full Metal Jacket Boat-Tail (FMJBT) projectile with a brass-jacketed lead core and a streamlined boat-tail profile, suitable for use in rifles chambered for .223 Rem.
Out of the muzzle, this .223 Rem load drives the 62 gr FMJBT to a muzzle velocity of 3042 fps and produces 1270 ft lbs of muzzle energy. PPU lists the application as hunting. Every round is built on brass cases.
