Description
The HSM Trophy Gold Extended Range load in 7mm-08 Remington is built around a 140 grain Berger Hunting VLD Match projectile, a high-ballistic-coefficient, very-low-drag bullet engineered to retain velocity and energy at extended distances. Loaded into HSM’s Trophy Gold Extended Range recipe, this round is intended for hunters who want match-grade accuracy from a factory cartridge on medium game.
At the muzzle this load runs 2811 fps and produces 2457 ft lbs of energy. Each round is assembled in a brass case, and the 7mm-08 Rem cartridge’s flat trajectory and mild recoil make it a capable choice for open-country hunting of deer, pronghorn, and similar medium game at both typical and extended ranges.
