Description
The Savage Rascal is a single-shot .22 LR micro rimfire purpose-built for introducing younger and smaller-statured shooters to the shooting sports. Marketed by Savage as one of the safest micro rimfires on the market, the Rascal pairs a 16.13″ matte black sporter barrel with a target crown to a matte black carbon steel receiver, finishing the package with a classic satin brown fixed hardwood stock. The result is a lightweight, easy-handling rifle properly proportioned for a first-time shooter.
Savage’s proven bolt action feeds a single round at a time, and the rifle is designed to unload without ever pulling the trigger – a meaningful safety feature for new shooters. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger provides a clean, light break, while a simple thumb safety keeps operation intuitive. Out of the box, the rifle ships with adjustable peep sights for accurate open-sight shooting. A 1:16″ twist is well matched to a wide range of .22 LR ammunition, and at 30.63″ overall and just 3.25 lbs, the Rascal is sized and weighted specifically for the youth or starter-rifle role.
This listing is for the Left Hand variant of the Rascal Youth, configured for left-handed shooters with a single-shot capacity, blued metal finish, and fixed wood stock. Whether the goal is hunting small game or putting rounds downrange at the target, the Savage Rascal Youth is a safe, accurate, and approachable first rifle.
