Description
The Barnes VOR-TX in 30-06 Springfield delivers handloaded precision in a factory round, loaded with the 168-grain Tipped TSX Boat Tail (TTSX BT) bullet. The VOR-TX line is built around Barnes’ all-copper TSX, Tipped TSX, and TSX FN projectiles to provide double-diameter expansion, maximum weight retention, and straight-line penetration on game.
The TTSX BT pairs a polymer tip with an all-copper, lead-free construction and a boat tail base, producing a ballistic coefficient of 0.47 for a flat trajectory and strong downrange energy retention. At the muzzle this load delivers 2800 fps and 2925 ft lbs of energy – a hunting prescription tailor-made for the iconic 30-06 Springfield cartridge. The all-copper, non-lead design also makes it a strong option where lead ammunition is restricted.
Each round is assembled in a brass case to tight dimensional tolerances, pairing classic 30-06 performance with Barnes’ modern bullet technology for a versatile hunting load that delivers consistent velocities and devastating terminal performance.
