Description
The Berger Bullets Target Flat Base bullet is purpose-built for .22 caliber reloaders chasing the tightest possible groups at short to mid-range distances. At 52 grains, this bullet is optimized for precision rifle target shooting and competition, where flat-base designs are typically preferred over boat-tail projectiles out to roughly 300 yards.
Berger’s tangent ogive profile and tight production tolerances produce an exceptionally accurate match grade bullet. A copper jacket wraps a lead core with no cannelure, giving handloaders freedom to fine-tune seating depth for the most demanding precision loads. The bullet measures 0.717″ overall length and is rated for a recommended 1:14″ or faster twist rate.
With a ballistic coefficient of .242 and a sectional density of .148, the 22408 holds velocity and energy well across its intended range, delivering the consistency competitive and recreational shooters expect from Berger’s match-grade lineup. Sold in a 100-count box for serious reloaders stocking up for the range or competition.
