Description
The Berger VLD Hunting bullet is part of Berger’s Match Grade line, purpose-built as one of the flattest-shooting hunting projectiles in the industry. Its secant ogive profile and boat-tail base deliver an exceptionally high ballistic coefficient for the weight class, while the J4 copper hunting jacket is engineered to penetrate 2-3 inches before initiating rapid expansion and creating a massive wound cavity on game.
This 30 Caliber projectile measures .308″ in diameter and weighs 168 grains, with a ballistic coefficient of .473, a sectional density of .253, and an overall length of 1.261″. A traditional lead core is wrapped in a copper jacket with no cannelure, and the high-BC profile makes it a natural choice for popular 30 caliber rifle loads such as the .30-06 Springfield.
These are reloading bullets – unprimed, uncharged projectiles sold 100 per box and recommended by Berger for hunting use.
